Like in the plywood industry the table- and bench-plates are manufactured with 3 shifts. That means the cover shift has no out-doweled branches, no pitch pockets, no cracks and no black branches. You can principally say that the cover-plate is perfect.
So the stability and the lifetime of the plate are extended. It is protected from cracks and distortions. The gluing primarily has a more increased lifetime than conventional one-shift gluing.
